Date started with Campus Clothing: Originally in 2009 for three years, but after a five year gap, I returned in 2017.

Your favourite item from the Campus range? The graduation bear! They all have their own unique expression and character or maybe I have been working with them too long.
Over the past five months, our teams have been attending graduation ceremonies up and down the country. Alison Hughes is one of our dedicated Event Sales Crew who helps us bring our graduation merchandise to students celebrating their achievements.
What does that role involve? On arrival at the graduation venue my primary role is to ensure everything is set up ready for the day. This includes making sure the order pads are working and the sales pad is logged on to the correct university. Setting out the stall for optimum impact is always the most enjoyable part. Making myself known to the client and other event personnel is also essential along with familiarising myself with details of the ceremony, venue and definitely where to get the best coffee.
Have you undertaken any other roles during your time at Campus clothing? What did they involve? Yes, I’ve done all sorts of additional tasks from devising new sales techniques to training and mentoring new crew members.
What are your experiences of University or further/higher education? I was the retail manager of the students' union shop at Leicester De Montfort University for over 14 years. It was lovely watching the new very nervous Freshers develop into confident, mature graduates. I was proud to be part of their journey through university.
How do you see Campus Clothing’s role in University graduation? We are part of a special day that all graduates have worked hard towards and deserve. We offer a range of unique gifts helping to create the memories of that day with a lasting keepsake.
